A new Torah was joyfully welcomed this week to the Rayim Ahuvim Shul on Carroll Street in Crown Heights.
It was dedicated by Shmuel and Chani Kozlovsky in memory of his father, R’ Avraham Chaim Kozlovsky OBM and sister, Itta Bracha Kozlovsky OBM.
The two perished in a fatal car accident in Israel in 2001.
Respected members of the community joined in writing the final letters assisted by Rabbi Faitel Levin of Hasofer (who filled in for Rabbi Moshe Klein).
Among them were Rabbi Leibel Groner, the Rebbe’s secretary; Rabbi Yaacov Schwei and Rabbi Shlomo Segal of Badatz Crown Heights and activists Rabbi Shea Hecht and Rabbi Israel Shemtov.
The Torah was also in memory of Menachem Mendel Ledayov OBM, who passed away at the age of 16 in 1991.
After completing the letters, many joined for a lively procession through the Brooklyn streets of to the Rayim Ahuvim Shul.
