Yeshiva student Shneur Cohen, a Shliach in North Carolina, delivered a unique book written during the Holocaust to the Central Chabad Library at 770 in Crown Heights this week.
According to the bochur’s research, the book was written while the writer was enduring the horrors of World War II, to bring honor and remembrance to those who perished.
Cohen’s parents, who are Shluchim at the Chabad Center in Charlotte, NC, had received the book as a gift from a Jewish real estate agent. She had received it from a client who discovered the rare find in their new home, and recognized the lettering as Hebrew.
The agent gifted the Sefer to the Chabad Center.
Shneur Cohen presented the book to the Chief Librarian at the Library of Agudas Chassidei Chabad, Rabbi Berel Levin.
Rabbi Levin expressed great excitement and great appreciation for the gift to the Library which is one of the largest and most well-respected collections of Jewish works internationally.
