The Central Yud Aleph Nissan Farbrengen celebrating the Rebbe‘s 115th birthday on Thursday at Beis Rivkah – Campus Chomesh on Lefferts Avenue in Crown Heights.
The annual chassidic gathering is organized by Agudas Chassidei Chabad International and will include a festive meal, a special video of the Rebbe, Chabad niggunim and words of inspiration.
A special “Teshura” memento will be given to participants: A copy of a mimeographed account of a sicha the Rebbe said at a farbrengen on Shabbos Parshas Shelach 5709, months after the Rebbe Rayatz passed away.
The sicha is printed both in Likkutei Sichos volume 4, page 1313 and Toras Menachem – Hisvaaduyos, volume 1, page 103.
What is notable about this copy is that it was proofread by the Rebbe and carries an uncommon titled for the Rebbe who has yet to accept the leadership of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement at the time.
The document titles the Rebbe as “Kevod Kedushas Haramash Shlita,” using both a title for a Rebbe and the acronym of the Rebbe name which was used during the lifetime of the previous Rebbe.
Speaking about that sicha will be 2 individuals who were instrumental in transcribing it: Rabbi Yoel Kahn, the Rebbe’s choizer reviewer, and Rabbi Azriel Chaikin who typed and set the text.
Also speaking at the farbrengen will be Rabbi Avraham Shemtov, Chairman of Agudas Chassidei Chabad, and Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch, among other rabbonim and mashpiim.
The farbrengen will begin at 8:30 PM and is open for chassidim and bochurim.
If it was months after the frierdiker rebbe was nistalek then it must have been shabbos parshas sh’lach 5710 not 5709
