Rabbi Gerlitzky Hands Lekach

Lubavitchers in Montreal merited to receive, yet again, a piece of Lekach honey cake from Rabbi Moshe Eliyahu Gerlitzky, one of the elder Chabad Shluchim and Chassidim living today. Photos

of when I used to visit the Montreal shtiebel and see Rabbi Gerlitzky greet a baal teshuva newcomer off the street with such zesto and youth…. what a fine example of running to do a mitzvah with simcho. May we all emulate his ways.

Yes I remember growing up in Montreal receiving Lekach From Rabbi Gerlitsky,
Not only, would he wish you a good year, but would add this message.
(it was in yiddish with this meaning) “if you are destined to ask for money this year you should be yotzai with the lecach”
as a kid in Montreal I never needed to ask for money… Hopefully I never will.

gut yar for all.
