Hysterical 🤣. Love the humor at the end
kol hakavod!!!
A civil disagreement between two Americans in 2020! This should go down in the record books!!
and as a proud Jew, I think that a lot of the reasons this Rabbi was able to keep it civil was bc he wasn’t arguing based off of his feelings, he brought in sources from the Torah that we need to kill animals in the least painful way
How beautiful!
A Kiddush Hashem without compromise!
It was so nice to see a respectful dialogue going on, but I feel that the issue with Kapparot is not when the animals are treated respectfully but when it is done in such mass numbers that the chickens are malnourished and there isnt enough time/energy to properly give the chickens to hungry people and then they are thrown away. Although I disagree on ammount- any amount of chickens are okay, as long as they are being treated nicely, I do agree that there is improvement which can be done. Seems like the community this rabbi lives in is respectful towards the chickens- they feed them and hold them in a basket. THAT is the way to treat animals and as the crown heights community- we really loose nothing (maybe another 200 dollars on seeds and baskets) on taking those same precautions to ensure the safety for these animals. I can’t imagine why someone from within our community would protest… Read more »
A truly devoted shliach! An example to all humanity-Specifically in the way he shows kindness to every person regardless of whom they are…may we all learn from him.
You handled that perfectly!
Respectful conversation. Appreciation of their values. Clarification about Jewish values on animal cruelty. Just awesome!
Ask these animal rights people if they eat bread or fruit.
How dare them eat an apple that is torn of the tree.
Just because one cannot hear the apples cry doesn’t mean it’s not painful for the fruit
That’s not what they were discussing actually, as he said right at the beginning. They were discussing tzar baalei chaim.
Many animals (not just bugs) have to be killed in order to keep them from eating produce that ends up on grocery shelves…it is their food after all

You did good.
Calm and measured. Doubt she was expecting that.
Good job
Respectful, Intelligent and a Kiddush Hashem.

You should give seminars on mediation!
