Rabbi Shlomo Cunin, director of Chabad of the West Coast, begs of all Shluchim to heed the Rebbe’s call from nearly every new school year.
Rabbi Cunin encourages us to use the opportunities and uncertainties that Covid-19 has brought, to do our utmost that not one Jewish child is left in Public schools, chas v’sholom.
He has also recorded a video with ideas to approach the subject, or can be used to forward to Jews that are unaware of the dangers that a child in a non-Jewish school faces every day.
“I know you are all busy preparing for Rosh Hashanah,” Rabbi Cunin says, “but let’s not forget this utmost priority of saving these Jewish lives from assimilation.”
Rabbi Cunin is certain that although we are close to the beginning of the school year, since the situation of Covid and the future of the public school system is so unclear, and many are disappointed with the system, many many parents will definitely consider switching schools to a yeshiva or talmud Torah, thereby saving generations.

Right on Rabbi keep it up
B”H
1. The Jewish school has to be willing to take and keep the child in their school
2. Instead of money going to so many sifrai Torah being written, it needs to go to opening more schools for Jewish children, especially with learning or behavioral issues or getting more help for them within the Jewish school system
3. There need to be more focus on how to keep the child focused on kabolos ol,and a desire to be a yirah a lamden and a chosid so they want to learn
Give EXISTING schools the funds for dealing with learning or behavioral issues or getting more help for them within the Jewish school system.
New schools for “problem” children creates stigma, new school issues of birth pains/mistakes etc, costs MUCH more.
