A beautiful Smile
November 17, 2013 7:46 pm

I usually come in to MTL a few times a year from CH NY. When ever I would pass reb shaya walking or later in a chair, he would have the most genuine smile!
That is something that I used to look forward to on my trips to MTL.
What a Varimer Chosid!
I will miss him dearly!

Reb Shaya Treitel was one of a kind, a great, humble man who never missed a minyan, literally. He worked hard but was there every Shachris, Mincha, Maariv without exception and mekareved many Jews in the business world just by his daily life. Wishing comfort to his family – HaMokom Yenachem Eschem BSoich Shaar Availey Tzion Virushalayim. Hope these worlds of the Rebbe, which puts a passing in its true perspective, comfort them -http://www.beverlyhillschabad.com/jewish-stories/text/rebbe-next-world.pdf

There were many Shayas in Montreal. In the Lubavitcher Shul, Shaya was Shaya Treitel. Always with a smile, Baal Tzedoka, loved a Chassidisher vort and loved the Rebbe. He was zoche to a very Chassidishe shtub with wonderful children dedicated to the Rebbe’s inyonim. Ovad Chossid min Ho’oretz.
