At a Farbrengen in Kazakhstan for Chof Av, the yahrtzeit of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson OBM, a story was told about an item that belonged to him and performs miracles.
8 years ago Tzachi Kedmi, a Lubavitcher from the Israeli village of Gamzu, decided to built a Mikvah in Reb Levik’s memory.
It proved a hassle as many bureaucratic hurdles stalled the building plans. Only after a visit to Reb Levik’s tomb in Almaty, Kedmi was notified all issues were resolved.
This is what he told participants at the Farbrengen this week:
Five years ago I was at a barber shop in the city of Holon and I commented to the barber the tonight will be the yahrtzeit of Reb Levik and that I built a Mikvah in his honor.
The barber replied back: “This Rebbe Levi Yitzchak is the father of the Rebbe of Lubavitch?”
I nodded.
“I have a surprise for you,” he said. “There is a neighbor here that wants to sell a silver cup that is ascribed to Reb Levik.”
The neighbor was rushed over and told me that 38 years ago he was at a Judaica sale in a New York shul. They said this cup was given to Reb Levik for his Bar Mitzvah.
“A few days ago I saw the cup and decided to sell it to someone who will actually use it for Shabbos Kiddush,” the man said.
He didn’t want a high sum and I bought it. That Shabbos I made a large Kiddush in my Shul with this holy cup.
And I have seen miracles ever since. One story was on Simchas Torah in our shul. One of the congregants asked for a blessing for a Shidduch.
I told him: “Say L’Chaim with this cup and Hashem will bless you.”
Two months later I met him and he thanked me for the cup. Motzoei Simchas Torah he met the girl he is going to marry in a few weeks. Baruch Hashem, they already have a baby.

it looks way to new to be from R. levik
y not believe him? wont make any diff in life if we do or dont
But this sounds like bull, dude. It COULD BE TRUE, but some guy sold you a cup just like that?
For little money? How could you know that it’s true…
It could be. But is it?
I have an identical cup. That design was popular in Russia about 100 years ago.
beis moshiach, in some miraculous way always has these ‘amazing’ stories…tell me, who verifies them?!?!?!
Why do you have to call the person who thought it was a picture of 770 a moron?
Big deal. He made a mistake. Does that call for insults?
wowy story!
It is hard to believe that Reb Leivik’s kiddush cup, given to him for his bar mitzvah could be sold at Judaica sale in NY in around 1970?
Who could provide such information? Also why would they sell it at a Judaica sale rather then give it or offer to sell it to the Rebbe? Very strange and not believable.
I am not even asking how it made out of Russia?
Could be a total bubbe meise, but the becher does look like a typical kiddush cup from that period in Russia.
exactly
not that I nececceraly belive the story but moron look at the picture again
even if you dont look very closely it is plain to see that the building on the cup is NOT 770.
Please take the word “magical” out of the headline. “magic” is Assur Al Po Torah!!! (there is no further gap and difference between ‘NEIS’ (Kedusha) and ‘magic” (Klipah))
It does not have 770 on it. It is just a building.
How does it have a 770 on it? If 770 wasn’t around at the time this becher was officially given?
