Newsweek’s Daily Beast named Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, Chairman of the Chabad-Lubavitch educational and social services divisions, and the longtime secretary to the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of blessed memory, No. 1 of the 50 Most Influential Rabbis.
According to Newsweek, Rabbi Krinsky “ranks as the most powerful authority in the national Jewish community, and is the second rabbi to repeat the No. 1 spot for a second year.
“Krinsky represents the fastest-growing denomination in Judaism, the Chabad-Lubavitch movement,” the report says, noting the “professional and managerial rigor” he has brought to Chabad “quietly envied and emulated by other denominations that would like to capture some of its magic outreach.”
Responding to these accolades Sunday morning as he was on his way to the Ohel, the Rebbe’s resting place, Rabbi Krinsky told lubavitch.com: “This is a tribute to each and every one of the composite of Chabad-Lubavitch Shluchim and their supporters.
“Their extraordinary dedication to the Jewish people—everywhere in the world—is unquestionably the inspiration of the Rebbe, whose legacy continues to fire their passion and their creative energy for the benefit of Am Yisrael and society at large.”
There is a reason for “the other part of the article”: the opportunity for the reader to look for more himself. The Chabad is open and visitors are welcome. There is no place more welcoming than a Chabad.
Regarding the second remark above, I fail to understand what this comment means: what is meant by “bedsides’?
