Rav Avrohm Yitzchak Ben Alter Ben Tzion
December 1, 2010 3:05 pm

I would start with saying what the masechet- he would ask what daf- then what amud- and without me saying a thing- would “be’al peh”… Read more »

To #3 and #10, go back and learn Pirkei Avos starting with Al Tadin es Chavercha , let alone someone who is on a much higher level than you can ever dream of.
Post an apology because his children and grandchildren are reading these articles and the comments

what are you? some kind of need to know all judge of other peoples lives?
what about respect, common decency, mentchlechkeit….
I don’t even know who Rabbi Garfinkle is and your questions stand out as totally inapropriate.

I remember very vividly when he used to visit Yeshivas Achei Tmimim (in the 1950’s & 60’s ) in Worcester, Mass. He was sent , I think, b’shlichus of the Rashag to test all the children in all the classes and to bring back to the Rashag a detailed written report. I think he must have visited the other Yeshivos Achei Tmimim as well.
If I’m not mistaken, the reports were given into the Rebbe as well.

#3 is asking I good question. We know he was a teacher in OP – but why wasn’t he ever by the Rebbe – like the other Chassidim from Otvotzk Poland? Not by Farbrebgen, not Shabbos? Not Yom Tov?

Apology

I posted this article without mentionimg anyones name, who arranged it and who visited him. He is coming for the farbrengen and is the featured speaker, not for scoring points.

Why did things that have nothing to do with the farbrengen have to be added?
I will sign my name

Rabbi Garfinkel taught in Lubavitcher Yeshiva Dean St & then ULY Ocean Parkway and just a short few years in Chovevei Torah he is a very special Yid and I together with 1000’s BH was zoche to his talmid!

Others have been in touch too...

It would be irght for those attention seekers to realise that they were not the only oones to have visited and been in touch with him. There were many of his other alumni students that visited and called him throughout and have held him with tremendous esteem always. Amazingly of most of my teachers from all the years at ULY (20 some years) he and ybl’c Rabbi Barnetzky a’h were certainly from the top. Some of the others wouldn’t even desreve a shiva visit. They taught with such love whilst the others besides for not even being qualified teachers many… Read more »

It would only be right to mention the ones who first went to meet Rabbi Garfinkel, and caused others to visit him as well, and also interview him about Otvotzk etc. published in the Kfar Chabad and collive.
Thank you Rabbi Moshe Heber, Rabbi Lazer Avtzon, and Rabbi Uri Ivry. Tovo Aleichem Brocho!

This is so special. I will definitely be there.

8:00 PM
November 24, 2010 1:31 pm

he has agreed to come farbreng on the condition that he leave at 9:15 – 9:30 in order for him to be home at 10:00.

in other words if you want to hear him farbreng then remember that 8:00 means 8:00 real time, NOT 8:00 chabad time (8:30-8:45)
