Rabbi Efraim Silverstein, a longtime resident of Montreal, Canada, passed away on Sunday, 28 Iyar, 5782.
He was to have turned 81 on Isru Chag Shavuos.
Rabbi Silverstein came to Learn in Tomchei Temimim in 1959. He taught for many years in Pennsylvania, where he helped many new Russian immigrants get jobs and brissin.
He is survived by his wife Rachel and his 4 children in Eretz Yisroel – Sima, Avrohom, Yaakov and Sruly, as well as Odom, Aliza Rangott, Shua and Dovy in Lakewood, and Yossi in NY.
He is also survived by his sister Chaya Devorah. He was predeceased by his brother Avrohom Yitzchok obm.
The levaya will take place on Monday, 10 am in Shomrei Hadas (Boro Park), 11 am in front of 770.
