R’ Chaim Steinhauser, longtime resident of Crown Heights, passed away on Thursday, 11 Teves, 5775, after an illness.
He was 69.
R’ Chaim davened for many years at the Ksav Sofer Shul on Empire Blvd. in Crown Heights.
His wife Shaindel OBM passed away in 2007.
He is survived by his children Abba Steinhauser and Sara Steinhauser.
He is also survived by his brothers Yankel Steinhauser of Crown Heights and Meir Steinhauser of Monsey, NY.
The Levaya will take place Friday morning at Shomrei Hadas in Boro Park at 11:00 am, passing by 770 at 11:45 am.
Shiva being observed at 1719 President Street, Brooklyn N.Y. 11213.
Shacharis Sunday Morning at 8:30 am
Minchah at 4:30 pm.
Monday through Wednesday Shacharis 7:30 am
mincha 4:30pm and Maariv at 9:00 PM

Abba Steinhauser is a wonderful Chassid. May he be comforted.
Even though I have had no contact with Chaim for probably 55 years I was very saddened to hear this news.
Rabbi Steinhauser z”l, was a Talmid Chacham, and very modest about it. He had a great breadth of Torah knowledge and was very unassuming about. A devoted husband and father, very responsable, softspoken, had many, many challenges and never complained. Very upright person, a mentch in all his dealing.A good neighbor. Him and his wife Sheindel z”l should have Chassidishe and Iddishe nachas from their children’s Abba and Sara Rivka and all of us. His memory should bring blessing.
