Preparations for the Bais Rivkah Production in Crown Heights, an annual tradition in honor of Chof Bais Shvat and the inter-school Bnos Chabad Convention, are well underway.
With more than 500 students involved, creating a production of this magnitude is complicated as well as inspiring, as all the songs used for choirs and dances are Chabad niggunim, adding an educational benefit. The much-anticipated yearly song-and-dance-fest has become a beloved tradition for women of the community and visiting shluchos.
This year’s musical production is titled Voice of Eternity and will be a spectacular show that you will not want to miss, organizers are saying.
The exciting story will take audience members back 100 years to the Lower East Side of Manhattan, year 1911.
It will join one girl on an adventure full of bumps, struggles, longing, strength, and most important of all – holding on to her father’s message to keep strong and rise above the outside influences.
Shows, (beginning promptly!) will be held on:
Sunday, February 19, 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm
Monday, February 20, 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
TICKETS: $18, $25, $36, $50

Hello all of you out there, Bais Rivka ONLY uses nigunim, that is what we started many years ago, and every Chabad school ALL OVER the world has followed our example. For choir, for dance, only our niggunim, we stopped using yanni etc., twenty odd years ago. Please please look at our girls with a good eye, not looking to criticize and to find wrong, the girls are working hard, they have mid-terms, and full time school, and they keep all their commitments, and we have every girl involved!!!!!!!!!! BR is a beacon, we are proud of our girls, and… Read more »

“You can’t pick and choose which mitzvahs you;re going to keep, If you don’t know about the music, LEARN.”
1. Yes you CAN choose
2. This is not about a mitzvah or an aveira
3. Using only Jewish soundtracks is both boring (we’ve all heard them before) and limiting
4. Using “goyishe” music with lyrics is a much worse problem than those without words
5. For all you know, Yanni is a much finer person than another Jewish composer might be
That said, looks like such a creative, interesting subject! Yashar Koach Bais Rivkah!
Go “Dance choir” lol
What were the production of 2006 and 05 called
The Rebbe said over 20 years ago, how music if something that goes straight to your neshama, the essence of the soul, and the schools, who are not educated enough, let in pure goyishe but nice sounding music. #! it’s stealing, buy not informing the crowed that they are using it, it’s called genaves Daas, #2 Yanni is A goy, who may have great music, but he is new age radio music, and is a pure unethical person. #3. As someone who has found personally, that there are plenty jewish soundtrack, and dance composers, and have done over 30-40 plays… Read more »
