Over 2,000 people joined the “Jewish Day of Unity” event on Lag BaOmer at the iconic Saban Theater on Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles, California.
Students came from Bais Chaya Mushka, Cheder Menachem, Emek, Friendship Circle LA, Gindi Maimonides, Harkham Hillel Academy, Lamplighters of Oxnard, Long Beach Hebrew Academy and more.
The event featured live Jewish music by singers Benny Friedman and Shmuley and Bentzi Marcus of the 8th Day band. The mood was electric and all were in great spirits, united in celebrating this special day.
Rabbi Mayer Greene of Chabad in Tarzana served as MC joined by Rabbi Aron Teleshevsky to lead the Pesukim. A highlight of the day was the musical chairs game played by the principals of all the schools. “It showcased to the children that we are truly one,” one participant said.
The event was organized by Rabbi Tzemach Cunin of Chabad of Century City, Chabad Youth Programs under the auspices of Chabad of California
and produced by Yossi Burston of YB Productions.
