A rare and precious letter written and signed by the third Rebbe of Chabad, Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Lubavitch, known as the “Tzemach Tzedek,” was returned to the Rebbe‘s room in 770 Eastern Parkway.
In a series of events, the letter was returned to the Rebbe’s room on Tuesday, 17 Sivan. With true hashgocha protis, the letter is dated today’s day of the week and month – Tov Sivan, Tuesday, the 17th of Sivan.
The letter, which is from the Frierdiker Rebbe’s archives, was written by the Tzemach Tzedek, and also comes with a note from the Frierdiker Rebbe adding what year the letter was written.
The letter was returned with the good heart of an individual who wishes to remain anonymous.
“This is an open and revealed miracle as no one knew that this letter existed and was never published and this letter was returned voluntarily,” said Rabbi Yossi Cunin, who has been working for decades on behalf of Aguch of Russia for the return of the Chabad Library many of which was looted by the Nazis and stolen by the Russian government.
By another amazing hashgocha protis, today is also the Yartzeit of Veronika Irina Ph. D., who served as the lawyer on behalf of the Rebbe for the children of Chernobyl and the seforim in Moscow.
Veronika Irina Ph. D., was mentioned in a letter signed by Rabbi Krinsky, on behalf of the Rebbe, as being one of the 5 people “authorized to resolve this matter” of the Seforim.
