The boy was named Avraham Meir. Avraham, after his great grandfather, who was also the father of Meir Roness, who survived a vicious pogrom in his Ukrainian shtetl when he was just a baby and who later became one of the first shochtim in Montreal and was a chazzan for many years in a shul there, and Meir, after his great uncle, a familiar and dearly missed face of Crown Heights.
May he grow up to emulate his namesakes.
