The critic
July 12, 2014 9:23 am

Many thing the parsha of Pinchas is about the zealot; it is really about the critic and the dangers of being a critic. Let’s eradicate the critic in all of us – it’s never done anyone of us any good.

words have power

PLEASE…..stop bickering!!! This is not a time to be discussing who is right, or more right. May Hashem protect each and every person in Eretz Yisroel. Soldiers who are going out need our Tefillos, not our debate. Torah, Tefilla, Tzedaka, ACHDUS,Yidden everywhere!!! Besoros Tovos

You write “I am not judging, but…”. Seriously, what gives you the right to have anything negative to say to this amazing young man and other chabad bochrim who are moiser nefesh for protecting the jewish nation? Imagine the strength and good influence he will have over the non religious boys? This is the ultimate shlichus to be on the front lines with their brothers.

With the help of Hashem and the brains to fully utilize and appreciate that help. Today has been too quiet, makes us worried….. And the baga”tz and jurists are preventing us from being able to fight fully, by turning off their water, electricity (which they don’t pay for anyways) and gas. G-d is with us and the world has given us a free pass for once to do what we need to. Waiting will only hurt…. We are willing to spend the Shabbat meals in a bomb shelter, but for goodness sake, let it be worth something for once! Chomat… Read more »

are you from those who want to give Israel up and live under Palestinian rule
was it any better in Poland
why did the Lubavitcher Rebbe fight to protect Israel
if as you say it is a mistake

Since you can learn so well that you will be protected from all harm without needing the soldiers and the army, please go in front of them as they enter Gaza and be the shield that protects the soldiers. Don’t be afraid and Be strong in your beliefs, set an example and head to the front lines right away and save other Jewish souls. I will gladly sponsor your ticket to Israel.

Thank you and davening

B’n I’m going to try to bentch licht ten minutes early again this week as a zchus for our soldiers. Both the ones on the ground and the ones soaring in Torah learning. We need both.
We need to stop fighting.
We need to do more to bring moshiach now!!!!!

To all those who have negative to say
July 11, 2014 12:50 am

Each person has a shlichus to fulfill. There are many shluchim in lots of places and Chabad boys in the army are too. Being a positive light to other soldiers and strengthening them is a big shlichus! When yiddens lives are on the line, think about these boys who are selfless and risking their lives! May Hashem protect all klal yisrael. And btw, I’m sure you can sit and learn Torah to help protect eretz yisrael.

I am NOT judging c”v, but Chabad bochurim are expected to be in Yeshivah, not the IDF, however respectable and appreciable is the mission our Chayalim risk their lives for. The Rebbe thanked the soldiers and appreciated them tremendously, but didn’t send our boys. He sent them on a different warfront.

Just as there are doctors of the Guf and we appreciate them a lot, we are supposed to be doctors of the Neshomo.

Way to go Mendel!

Now is time to admit how wrong it is for Jews to have their own state before the coming of Moshiach. After sixty years and a day doesn’t go by not fearing of a sucide bomber.
Yidden,wake up.

The rebbe actually said the soldiers come first, and ur comment is very offensive..Maybe u should have wrote that the people learning Torah also protect Israel

oy hashem!!

July 10, 2014 6:08 pm

IF it weren’t for the IDF there would have CV been a terror attack! Just look at the article posted by collive that the IDF prevented a car with a bomb from going! The IDF and Torah both help the safety of Israel!!

Yes, we need both Bochurim and Chayalim, but for those but Lubavitchers, their Shlichus is to be in Yeshiva. The Rebbe was very encouraging of our Chayalim, but the Rebbe didn’t encourage Chabad boys to serve in the IDF.

We need BOTH! and the Rebbe many times lauded the TzaHaL generals that came to him for a brocha.
Ahavas Yisrael meivi et hageulah – there’s no space for negativity amongs klal Yisrael.

Safety for Eretz Yisroel
July 10, 2014 2:48 pm

The boys who are sitting and learning torah are doing more for Eretz Yisroel than the army. This is what dovid Hamelech said during his wars. as quoted multiple times by the Rebbe.
