This dynamic (and hilarious) duo have been at this for more than 30 years and Lubavitch continues to benefits from them.
There is a story, the details I am not sure about that the famed chossid Reb Chaim Tashkenter was traveling through that part of Russia and by chance met Reb Levi’k in the train station and had a few words together.
This is “Chi’ile”?
Reb Chaim tashkenter met the Rebbes farther Reb Levik aound 1939-40 in Chi’ile @ the train station, they spoke for around 30 minutes, till reb chaims train had to leave. approx 18 years later Reb Chaim met the Rebbe in 770, it was his first Yechidus , the Rebbe ask him a lot of questions about his father for over 20 minutes, then the Rebbeh gave Reb Chaim an abundance of broches to have nachas from all his kids, to have Arichus Yomim veshonim toivois etc
Reb Levik came to the train station everyday, maybe he’ll find a someone he knows or someone who could help him. the KGB were watching him all the time, he told my father that they watch us as we speak.
Talking about trains, gradde I remember hearing a mayse about R’ Shmuel gurary he used to travel on trains and rent a whole cart for himself and he used to get comfortable. Once the Rebbe Rashab was traveling on a train and he was walking around the cars and he walked into Reb Shmuel’s cart and saw him sitting comfortably. Reb Shmuel got scared and jumped out of the window. Can Anyone share more details,
