On Monday evening of Chol Hamoed Sukkos, a group of men and woman from Chabad Jewish Center of Monroe, NJ, led by their Shliach, Rabbi Eliezer Zaklikovsky, headed out to Crown Heights for an evening of joy and inspiration.
Among them was a local freelance photojournalist, Edward Hornichter, who photographed the first public Menorahs in New York and the festivities in the 1970’s, led by Rabbi Dovid Raskin and members of Lubavitch Youth Organization.
More than 35 years later he returned to Crown Heights as part of the group, to experience the sights and sounds of Simchas Beis Hashoevah.
Their trip continues to be the talk of town, and a wonderful and uplifted experience was had by all!
Special thanks to Rabbi Dovid and Baila Olidort and Rabbi Avrohom and Rivkah Zaklikowski for the gracious hospitality while hosting the group in their Sukkah.
reminds me of mendy and the golem…
Keep up the good work
