Parsha Studio ~ Parshas Shelach ~ Pomegranate Painting
Hi Boys and Girls! Welcome back to the Parsha Studio!
In this week’s Parshas, Moshe Rabeinu informs the Jewish people that they will conquer Eretz Yisroel and settle there. The Jewish people were unhappy about this and wanted first to send 10 spies to scout out the land, to which Moshe agreed. Most of the spies chose to see everything in a negative light. For example, they complained that the pomegranates were huge, instead of recognizing the wonders of Hashem. 2 of the spies, Yehoshua & Kalev, came back with positive reports, believing that Hashem gives us the ability to overcome our challenges.
To remember this story and its valuable lesson, we will create a pomegranate painting, using mixed media techniques with clay to add dimension and realism to our artwork.
