Hi Boys and Girls! Welcome back to the Parsha Studio!
This week’s Parsha, Behaalosecha sheds light on the Menorah in the Beis Hamikdosh. Did you know that the Menorah in the Beis Hamikdosh had seven branches, which is different from the eight branches on the one we light on Chanukah? It’s such a beautiful symbol of spreading light to the whole world. Plus, the Kohen Gadol would light it every day, spreading the light and holiness of the Bais Hamikdash to the rest of the world.
Today, let’s have fun painting an impressionistic Menorah. Impressionistic art is all about capturing the feeling of light, atmosphere, and objects, rather than focusing on realistic details. With our painting, we’ll bring the Menorah in the Bais Hamikdash to life, making it shimmer and glow as if it’s right in front of us. I can’t wait for you to feel the emotions in the painting as we add golden sparkles to make the Menorah shine, symbolizing the light it brought to the world. Get ready for a magical painting experience!

Isn’t it possible for in person workshops for the children that reside in CH to be possible as opposed to online ? When the museum was in the earliest stages of fundraising, this is what was written about as an objective.
