Parshas Mishpatim ~ Challah Bikurim Baskets
Hi boys and girls!
Welcome back to Parsha Studio!
Are you ready for an exciting adventure into this week’s Parsha? Let’s learn about the incredible Mitzvah of Bikurim!
When the Yidden arrived at Eretz Yisroel, they would take the first fruit that grew and bring it to the Beis Hamikdosh as a gift to Hashem. Even though we don’t have the Beis Hamikdosh now, we can still practice Bikurim in our own way. The primary theme of Bikurim is thankfulness and appreciating the good that we are given, also known as hakaras hatov. The Bikurim ceremony teaches us how important it is to verbally acknowledge and express gratitude towards Hashem.
Today we will learn how to shape and bake fruit baskets out of Challah to remind us of this special Mitzvah! Hope you guys are ready to make your delicious baskets!
