As the 20th anniversary of Gimmel Tammuz approaches, Chabad chassidim around the globe seek for ways to strengthen their Hiskashrus and to do whatever is in their power to ensure that Moshiach’s arrival will long proceed it.
One of those efforts is being organized by Vaad Hatmimim Haolomi that will unite over 40 Chabad yeshivos worldwide in a “global Shabbos Hisoirerus.”
In 5768, the Vaad organized their first Shabbos Hachana in Kfar Chabad, for bochurim throughout Israel. As the program has progressed to being one of the most inspiring events for a bochur today, attended by some 1600 bochurim and 30 mashpi’im, the Vaad is now carrying the success to Yeshivos throughout the world.
This year, 10 host Yeshivos will accommodate bochurim from other Yeshivos in their regions. Special guest mashpi’im and Shluchim will grace each location for the duration of the Shabbos. A fully prepared program will be conducted in each location, utilizing each moment to its maximum.
The host Yeshivos include:
Yeshivas Beis Dovid Shlomo – New Haven Connecticut
Mesivta Oholei Yosef Yitzchok – Detroit, MI
Yeshivas Ohr Elchonon Chabad – Los Angeles, CA
Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim – Morristown, NJ
Yeshiva Gedolah – Miami, FL
Yeshivas Lubavitch – Toronto, Canada
Yeshiva Gedolah – Melbourne, Australia
Lubavitch Yeshiva – Johannesburg, South Africa
Yeshiva Lubavitch – S. Paulo, Brazil
Yeshiva Lubavitch – Buenos Aires, Argentina
Plans are underway for a similar Shabbos for European Yeshivos.
