Kosher and Israel are on their minds.
Like many gatherings of Jewish people nowadays, the annual Mashgichim Conference of the OK Kosher Organization opened with reciting Tehillim for the people of Israel.
The OK certifies many factories and food establishments in the Holy Land and it has followed with concern how residents are suffering since the launch of the war with Hamas terrorists in Gaza.
Leading the prayer was Rabbi Shlomo Weinfeld, a member of the OK’s Executive Rabbinical Council (Kashrus Vaad) who formerly served as the Chief Operations Officer of OK Israel.
Following that, mashgichim and kosher supervisors and rabbinic administrators sat together at Ulam Chana in Crown Heights for their conference and discussions. It was catered by Bunch O Bagels.
Speakers included Rabbi Chaim Fogelman, member of OK Executive Kashrus Vaad; Rabbi Chaim Shaul Bruk, Mashgiach and Chabad Shliach in Bozeman, Montana; Rabbi Chaim Ozer Metal, Mashgiach and Chabad Shliach in Las Vegas, Nevada; Rabbi Yakov Teichman, OK Rabbinic Coordinator; Rabbi Eli Lando, OK Executive Manager.
A special guest was Rabbi Menachem M. Weissmandl, Rav of Nitra Monsey and a renowned expert in Kashrus who works closely with the OK. He gave words of chizzuk to participants to continue keeping the highest standards without compromise.
