The passing of Reb Yisroel Friedman, a”h, our beloved Rosh Yeshiva, left a deep void and a feeling of great loss within the entire Mossad of Oholei Torah and particularly among his thousands of Talmidim.
With Reb Yisroel’s unique and keen mannerism, the Derech in which he taught greatly impacted his Talmidim and gave them a deeper appreciation for learning and for Darchei Chassidus. And of course the concern and care Reb Yisroel showed to each talmid, is something legendary.
The Hanhola of the Beis Medrash, together with a group of Reb Yisroel’s Talmidim, have come together to bond and unite through launching a Chalukas HaShas, the Siyum of which will be held, iy”h, on Reb Yisroel’s first yahrzeit, 7 Nissan 5881.
During this year other projects will be initiated, including monthly Shiurim by his Talmidim, many of whom are Shluchim, Rabbonim and Roshei Yeshivas, will be broadcasted throughout this upcoming year.
