United States President Barack Obama called incoming Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Wednesday to congratulate him on taking office.
The leader expressed his well-wishes and invited Netanyahu to visit the US.
In coversation, Obama reiterated America’s unwavering commitment to Israel. Officials at the incoming PM’s Office said that the talk between the two leaders lasted close to 30 minutes and characterized it as friendly and constructive.
Netanyahu’s office added that the leaders expressed their confidence that the two countries will continue to cooperate closely.
