The 52nd annual Nshei Ubnos Chabad convention will take place Feb. 28 – March 2, 2014 at the Doubletree Hilton in Somerset, NJ.
For the most stimulating speakers, most relevant topics of discussion, exciting musical entertainment, camaraderie and friendship, accompanied by gourmet cuisine, relaxation and ambience and swim and gym, women from all across the US, Canada and beyond, will be heading out for this extraordinary, one-of-a-kind, weekend event, hosted by N’shei Chabad of Morristown, NJ.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe, who gave his blessings to embark on creating these conventions in 1962, realized the need for these gatherings in order to inspire Jewish women to strengthen their Torah and Mitzvos. The Rebbe often expressed his desire that the women who were inspired by the conventions would, in turn, bring home the inspiration to their respective families and communities. This ripple effect would then reverberate around the globe. It is remarkable, that after 52 years, these conventions continue to fulfill the needs and interests of Jewish women today.
The theme of this year’s convention, “The Jewish Leap Year: A Double Measure of Joy Heralding the Redemption” will set the tone for the entire weekend event.
Guest presenters include such illustrious personalities as Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Jacobson, Rabbi Chaim Miller, Mrs. Sara Esther Crispe, Mrs. Sara Karmely, Mrs. Esther Haddassah Loewenthal and Mrs. Chana Nunez.
The “Musical Duo” Rivka Leah Cylich and Chaya Sara Weiss will be performing at the grand Banquet.
Highlights of the upcoming event include: fascinating workshops on topics ranging from Chassidus and Kabballah, education and child rearing, mysticism and Mikvah to women’s health and personal relationships; personal stories of inspiration; a joyous Chassidic Farbrengen around the fireplace; a gala Melave Malka, a Grand Banquet Sunday at noon, music and dance.
For those who are unable to attend the entire event, there are options to join the convention for the grand Melave Malka and /or the Sunday workshops and banquet lunch (Somerset NJ is less than an hour drive from New York City).
