Sad. A very worthy man. Large shoes to be filled. I am glad that our paths crossed as he was imprssive from a distance. I can’t say i knew him other than from being in the same shul. But, his presence was felt and will be missed.

To the Sweet Katz Family, sheyichyu
We must have Moshiach Immediately Now!! Your husband/father left this world peacefully on Shabbos with the kiss of Hashem as by Aaron Hakohen and Moshe Rabbeinu. Mr. Katz was an engineer who can be helpful with the building of the Beis Hamikdosh. But, Hey, the Beis Hamikdosh was and will be Hashem’s home in THIS world, down here, l’matta maiasara tefochim. So please Hashem, bring this beautiful Yid and Chossid back to us. V’hakitzu V’ranenu Shochnei Afar Vhu Besochum, B’eis Techiyas Hameisim, Im Bias Moshiach Tzidkeinu NOW! Amein Kein Yehi Ratzon.

In 1994-1995 I had the unique pleasure and zechus to help my dear friend and shliach to Palos Verdes Rabbi Yitzie Magalnic for the Yomim Noraim. I remember well Mr. Katz as a pillar of the community and the Rosh Hashanah meal in his home as the Chabad House annex. May the family be comforted besoch shar avilie Tziyon Veryushalayim.

Dear Mrs. Katz, As the first full-time Shluchim to Palos Verdes (1987 – 1990) where we established the Chabad house where it still sits today, we fondly remember you and Reb Nachman and how you treated us as family. When I asked Reb Nachman to be Gabbai of our shul, at first he was hesitant. Showing true humility, he told me he doesn’t know if he’s worthy of such a task! Reb Nachman was more than worthy. Though a man of few words, those who knew him well, appreciated his genius and keen intellect. He was able to speak to… Read more »

Dearest Katz family
How does one begin to transmit the incredible affection and good memories of our inaugural shul and classes on “THE HILL”?
You helped us …you welcomed us…
We Grew together…All our simchas had the Katz presence.
Nachman was a great and humble Tzadick and who knows how many Yidden were brought closer to Hashem thru him?
I will miss his cigar and and special smile.
May Hashem comfort all of us with Moshiach.

Dear Adrienne and Katz family, Truely, words fail me. I have always been so touched by Norman’s dedication to Judaism and our little Shul. He was so knowledgable and had the most beautiful smile and sense of humor. We will all miss him so much. Please be well and know that my family is thinking of you and you are in our prayers.
