Rabbi Moshe and Aidela Pape have been appointed as the new Chabad Shluchim to New Rochelle, a city in Westchester County, New York.
The Papes, together with their baby daughter Chaya Mushka, will be moving to to the roughly triangle shaped city that mostly consists of sprawling, residential neighborhoods.
In the 7th largest city in the state of New York, the Papes will be there to help the Jewish community, while focusing on building an adult education network and other programs.
New Rochelle is commonly referred to as ‘The Home Town’ because of the significant amount of single-family, residential development that exists throughout most of the city.
In November 2008 Business Week magazine listed New Rochelle as the best city in New York State, and one of the best places nationally, to raise children.
They were appointed by the board of directors of Tzach and Rabbi Velvl Butman, Executive Director of Chabad Lubavitch of Westchester County.
