Rabbi Meir and Chevy Friedman and their 2 children will be moving out to Escondido, CA, establish the city’s first-ever Chabad House.
The Friedmans will be moving from Crown Heights to the city of Escondido, a bustling and on-the-rise city just 30 miles from downtown San Diego.
The city has been in need of a permanent Chabad presence for some time now, and the Friedmans will be filling a much-needed void in the area.
They will be setting up a new Chabad Center and will be offering services, educational programs and Shabbos and holiday events.
The Friedmans were hired by Rabbi Yonah Fradkin, regional director of Chabad of S. Diego, and Rabbi Boruch Shlomo Cunin, Director of Chabad of the West Coast.
