A historical and festive ceremony was held on Tuesday as a new Sefer Torah was completed at the new Chabad Maharal center of Prague.
Hundreds of members of the Jewish community participated in the event as well as many dignitaries, including U.S. Ambassador to the Czech Republic and the Israeli ambassador and prominent rabbis.
The Torah was donated by Mr. Asher David Milstein in memory of his grandfather and was placed in a magnificent, newly dedicated Chabad shul, led by Shliach Rabbi Manis Barash.
Later in the evening, nearly 100 people were invited to a dinner along with government officials and the U.S. ambassador.
