We will all be forever grateful to Mrs. Altein’s great sacrifice for every child and teacher. Her never ending efforts and love for every child have made a forever impact. She will be sorely missed.

Wow, Mrs. Feldman served our school for so many years with such dedication, devotion & commitment to this mosad. I’m sure she’ll be able to continue to guide & share her experience & knowledge. With much appreciation!

When my daughter needed some special attention to work out her unique situation I was blown away by the care Mrs Feldman gave us! Thank You and hope you continue to give guidance at Beis Rivkah!!!

One of the the most dedicated principals who cared for every single child and every teacher she hired. She was a pleasure to work for. The school was very fortunate to have such professional and someone of her expertise for the most crucial years of elementary school.

Such a lovely person and a kind and warm principal. I worked for her decades ago, she supported her teachers as well as nurturing the girls.

Mrs. Brawer was my student and she is a great addition to the senior staff. But I really feel old!! 😉 Hatzlacha to you all.

I read the article with interest. The changes in administration sound exciting and I’m looking forward to the school’s growth. However- I am greatly disturbed by the vocabulary of “replacing” Mrs. Altein and Mrs. Feldman. Each one contributed tremendously to the success of the school and is irreplaceable.
The article should have written that Mrs. Rosenfeld and Mrs. Brawer are assuming the roles of principal.

Great choice. Now time will tell.

Great! But more changes still needed.

Mrs. Gitty Sternberg taught my daughter. She knows her stuff, and was a kind and caring teacher. Presentation of material was excellent, thus, my daughter retained the information she was taught. I wish her Much hatzlacha in her new position. I am sure it will be a benefit to the students.

And what are these longtime, devoted principals leaving with? big pension plans, dinners honoring their long years of service? and their devotion and sacrifice for so many years?

where is the mothers auxiliary to make a big dinner, plaque in school etc? In other neighborhoods, this would be done to show hakoras hatov…do we have trouble giving thanks in a practical way, not just words?

As a teacher in bais rivkah i can say that mrs. Feldman is a pleasure to work with. She heard the teachers needs and offered guidance when necessary. She always smiled and did her best to please the teachers. I felt she cared for me and for my students.

that chavi altein will stay on as consultant
and make herself available occasionally to give advice to the new people,
because there is simply no replacement for her decades of experience and extreme sensitivity to every student. she picks up on what is happening with girls in a special way which can be taught.

Mrs. Gelfand retired just last year. She was a wonderful principal.

I agree with some of the comments above. Morah Feldman and Morah Altien gave their time, kochos, went above and beyond in SO many ways — how can we just “replace” them and not write about any hakaros hatov for all those years of service and deication?? They are both amazing people who gave many, many years of their lives for their avodas hakodesh of chinuch of many generations of leaders of today! May the Aibishter bentch them with much, much brochos and nachas in their personal and communal lives. I hope, as a community, we too, will give them… Read more »

With all comments re: Rebbetzin Altein. We are very grateful and salute our dear Rebbetzin Altein. She is irreplaceable and put so Much into my daughters education and cared about them as her own daughters! Hatzlocha to a new team whom we hope will continue to honor our former educators by the work they are doing and with frequent dedications and letting the students who didn’t know them all about their mesiras nefesh for chinuch!
Thank you! My you all be blessed
