Recently, a new program called “Mif’al Toras Chaim” began in Crown Heights. The aim is to enable people to learn complete Masechtos of Gemara during a set period of time.
Participants in Mif’al Toras Chaim learn an Amud of Gemara 5 days per week. The remaining two days are set aside for Chazara (this way, each learner learns 10 Blatt per month!). Members will IY”H receive daily guides to ensure they can keep track of what they should be learning. Help finding Chavrusos, and Gemara Shiurim, will be available upon request.
There will be a test at the end of each month. Monetary awards will be distributed to those who partake. Amounts vary according to scoring.
The first Maseches to be learned is Maseches Berachos. The test on the first ten blatt of this Maseches is scheduled for Wednesday, Ches Shvat.
Mif’al Toras Chaim is administered by Yagdil Torah and Merkaz Halacha.

My mistake…I thought this was for students 🙂
I think adults can handle the reward system better.
The concept still applies though.
I hope the reward system can be figured out in a way that rewards go according to EFFORT!
Perhaps the first test (without them knowing) can be to see what the child is capable of. One child may receive a 65%, while putting in a tremendous amount of work. While another child receiving the same 65% had the potential to get 100%, but didn’t bother putting in the effort.
Just my 2 cents on the monetary reward system.
Teach a child according to HIS way….
Brilliant beautiful idea!
Can shluchim around the world join as well?
Such a beautiful thing to do. The Rebbe always encouraged learning Nigleh besides chassidus, and to get paid for it :-)Hatzlocha rabbah! I am amazed what organizations come up with.
#1 As of now this is only for Crown Heights. Hatzlacha!
such a nice idea!
