A new publication is geared for English speakers who wish to easily keep or expand their daily dose of Jewish learning.
Chayenu, a beneficiary of The Tomchei Torah Academy Trust of Johannesburg, South Africa, is modeled after the popular Dvar Malchus publication, which has brought an increase in learning Chitas and Rambam daily, to the world of Chabad (and beyond).
The primary novelty of this new weekly, costing $1.00 in New York, is the inclusion of the comprehensive Hebrew-English Rambam published by Moznaim – for those studying one chapter a day, following the Rebbe’s initiative to study Rambam daily.
Additionally, there are sections for Halacha, Geulah, Pirkei-Avos, and letters of the Rebbe.
Publisher Michoel Goldman said plans are underway to expand the content to include the full spectrum of daily Shiurim and more.
“Chayenu has already generated an incredible enthusiasm in many Anash communities around the world, as well as in Chabad Houses, with new inspiration in Torah study, as well as chavrusas and Shiurim in Rambam Yomi,” he wrote in a press release.
Complimentary copies were mailed out to all Shluchim in the USA and Canada for the first four weeks (right after Shavuos), as well as distributed to most Anash shuls in America. Those at the Ohel over Gimmel Tammuz were treated to a free copy too.
In Crown Heights, the following stores will be carrying CHAYENU: Kol Tuv, Kahan’s Superette, Jewish Children’s Museum store, The Shuk, Post-Mark-It, and KosherTown.
In South Africa, contact Yisroel Goldman (076.975.2999)
Subscriptions are also available (with an additional shipping charge).
Group orders (for communities, camps, shuls etc.) are available and encouraged. Many Chabad communities have set up local distributorship by virtue of a dedicated member. A full list will be featured soon.
Camp Learning Directors: this is an opportunity to motivate an increase in Limud Torah (esp. Rambam) amongst your older campers. If they study it in the summer, chances are it will follow through the year.
