Kehot Publication Society has just released a new book with short daily inspiration culled from the weekly Torah portion.
“Daily Wisdom: Inspiring insights on the Torah Portion from the Lubavitcher Rebbe” was translated and adapted by Rabbi Moshe Wisnefsky, a scholar, writer, editor and anthologist from Jerusalem, who is one of the founders of Ascent Institute, Safed.
The book was produced by Chabad House Publications of California.
“Daily Wisdom” summarizes each daily Torah reading and presents an original insight based on the Rebbe’s teachings for each day.
“The Rebbe saw the weekly Torah portion as an inexhaustible source of new ideas, insight into current issues, and profound relevance for daily life,” say the publishers. “The Rebbe urged his followers, as well as everyone who came into contact with him, to seek daily inspiration from studying the Torah.”
Daily Wisdom’s 378 daily lessons, are a taste of the Rebbe’s vast and deep teachings, filled with love for G-d, Torah and the Jewish people, pragmatic optimism, and the conviction that evil and negativity will disappear when we learn to emphasize goodness and kindness. These ideas are woven together throughout the book, resulting in a precious daily resource that will enrich and elevate the lives of all readers.

I read through sections of the Daily Wisdom book. Very impressive. The brief introductions to each chapter/Parsha are perfect. The summary of the daily Torah reading is perfect. The teaching from the Rebbe’s writing for each day is brilliant. I strongly recommend this book. It may be the best introduction to the weekly Parsha and the Rebbe’s insights produced to-date. I wouldn’t be surprised if this quickly becomes a staple book for every Jewish home.

As was already stated by the person who made comment#11, of all the “Rebbe Books” they are just that, Rebbe Books. “Daily Wisdom” IS our Rebbe and his Torah – our Torah – and provides a wondrous connection to our Rebbe, G-d and the Torah each and every day.
