Before, I would wake up – minutes Before, it was time to leave
Now, I wake up over an hour early to daven
Before, I used to take each day for granted
Now, I am so thankful for each and every day, another chance
Before, I would go and brush my teeth and wash my face
Now, I wash netilas yadayim, and realize how much good I can do with my 2 hands
Before, I used to have little respect for myself
Now, I have all respect in the world for myself and others
Before, I used to regard at life as a procedure
Now, I look at life as a growth process
Before, I used to think that there was a G-d
Now, I know, there is a G-d, watching over us, protecting us, and guiding us
Changing your life around isn’t easy, especially if you are the odd one out.
Not only do you have to change your physical appearance and surroundings but you need to change your internal self; the way you look at life, yourself and the way you think, speak and act.
You need to make every given moment one of Kedusha.
It’s not all about you anymore, its about all of Bnei Yisroel.
It’s about Ahavas Yisroel.
It’s about the Love and Fear of Hashem.
It’s about keeping Torah and Halachah.
It’s about turning every mundane and physical act into a spiritual and holy one.
It’s about bringing Moshiach.
It’s about connecting with your inner self, every Jew, and Hashem
And its about so much more.
It’s not easy, but no one said it would be.
The only thing that I can say is that it is the most amazing and rewarding process that I am so thankful and lucky to be
part of.
Thank You Hashem for making me Jewish, for giving me such inspiration, for giving me the will power, for letting live a
life of meaning and for giving me the opportunity to serve You.
Thank you Rebbe, for guiding us and teaching us the ways of yiddishkeit and enriching the lives of us all.
When people try to put you down just remember that there is only one Being you have to answer to, and you should
take comfort in that and realize you have no one to face but Ha Kadosh Baruchu.
Hashem is the ultimate judge!
