Rabbi Leib Rojtenberg, his wife Sara and daughter Chana are moving out on Shlichus to Brasilia, the capital of Brazil and the seat of all three branches of the Brazilian government.
They will be servicing the estimated 400 Jewish families living in the large city, with classes, holiday activities and with an emphasis on children’s programs.
The Keren Nehor Menachem foundation, headed by the Shliach Rabbi Dovid Weitman of Morumbi, has helped them with starting their shlichus.
With 119 foreign embassies in town, Rabbi Rojtenberg is also tasked with reaching out to Jews in government and communicating Jewish needs with state officials.
