The Head Shliach of Argentina, Rabbi Tzvi Grunblatt last week visited the new offices of JEM (Jewish Educational Media) in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
With Chassidic compassion, he gave a piece of his mind to the staff of the media company which makes the archival videos of the Rebbe’s accessible to the wider public.
He told them they were not doing enough to get their new Farbrengens series to the masses, COLlive was told. The staff responded by challenging him to share his thoughts publicly and he did just that.
In a public plea to his fellow Shluchim, Rabbi Grunblatt called on them to invite their members to watch a full length Farbrengen of the Rebbe on video.
“Don’t limit the access of other people to the Rebbe,” said the director of Chabad Lubavitch in Argentina.
He said he invited his community to watch the hours-long videos and even organizes in advance a learning session of the Sicha “so they can come prepared.”
Included in the learning program are students of his elementary school and high school girls as well.
“I don’t see a better thing for hiskashrus like sitting by a Farbrengen of the Rebbe, no matter how long it is,” Rabbi Grunblatt said.
He noted that “even if someone leaves after (watching) for an hour, don’t feel bad. He will leave (with his soul) full and satisfied.”
Over the next week, many Lubavitch communities and Chabad Houses will be showing all or parts of JEM’s 6 and a half hours farbrengen video. You can join by contacting [email protected].

Learn the Dvar Malchus (sichos of 2 years before gimmel Tammuz) and see if the Rebbe talks about whether Moshiach dies – or not! As it says about Yakov Avinu – “Yakov loh mais” and about Dovid HeMelech – “Chai v’Kayam”. REMEMBER, a “tzaccick decrees and Hashem fulfils” – a tzaddick is not limited by nature, like average Jews (benoni), (Tanya). So, if certain tzaddikim have a special status on special occasions – why do we care?! .Dvar Malchus explains the importance of Moshiach NOT dying – how he is dafka here B’GASHMIUS – as this is the start of… Read more »
Yasher Koach Rabbi Grunblatt. Great idea – thank you for stepping outside the box and being an inspiring example of what a shaliach is all about
mucho mucho gracias!! hatzloje!
chezky’s father? 🙂
What does that mean?
Obviously, the Rebbe is not be’alma dein (this physical world) begashmius (tangibly). However, as has been said so many times, whether the Rebbe has passed away (isfater, nistalek)was painfully not our choice, but whether the Rebbe “lives” is OUR choice.
And you can make it every day.
A special thank you to the Vaad Talmidei Hatemimim for preparing the beautiful accompanying booklets that come together with these Farbrengen’s.
Makes sense – if Rebbe was alive, no doubt we’d hear him farbreng. Why should now be different, just because it’s not live/it’s on video, instead? …MAMASH, even more so now, in these days! We Yidden need the Rebbe’s mentorship, love, and wisdom in this olam hasheker. Thank you.
