Baruch Dayan Haemes: Mrs. Miriam Weiss, the wife of the known philanthropist R’ Yissachar Dov Weiss of Los Angeles, passed away Thursday, Shvat 1, 5771.
She was 86.
Born to the Wertzberger family in Romania, she was a modest person who was always involved in charitable work, giving advice and counsel to whoever asked.
“She was also very close to the family – the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren,” a family member told COLlive.com.
She is survived by her husband and their children Mrs. Chana Levitin of Seattle, WA; Yonah Mordechai Weiss of Los Angeles, and Rabbi Moshe Aron Tzvi Weiss of Sherman Oaks, CA.
The funeral will be held Friday, 2 Shevat – Jan. 7 at 10:00 am at the Moshe Ganz Hall, 365 N La Brea Ave.
The kevura will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 6506 E. Gage Ave. City of Commerce, CA 90040.
Shiva will be observed at 254 S Highland Ave. Los Angeles

She was an especially great Bubby that went out of her way for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, always wanting the best for them. She was an inspiring woman whom we will miss dearly. May she rest in peace.
