Wednesday night, Dec. 8, the last night of Chanukah, the 31st Annual South Florida Chanukah Festival welcomed a crowd of over 10,000 at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach.
A Menorah car parade drove through the streets of Miami, and culminated at the show.
The evening’s performances included singing sensation Benny Friedman, nine-year old piano prodigy Ethan Bortnick, the amazing twin Hassidic Acrobats from France, and the lighting of Florida’s Largest Menorah led by Cantor Rabbi Yossi Lebovics.

1) Keep the hat. It just looks so much more Chassidishe and polished. By the way, your whole outfit looked great, especially your tie. The event was great except for the goyishe music, I was shocked! You said the kid is a prodigy, so he shouldn’t have any problem learning to play Jewish music, there’s plenty to choose from. And why play It’s a Small World, couldn’t you pick a Jewish kids song?
Inside the stretch limo were all the boys from Klurman Mesivta who went on mivtzoim at least twice over Chanukah. Yasher Koach to all the shluchim and Rabbi Zavdi for your fantastic programs and incentives. The boys had a great time.

I wanted to partake in the Parade but unfortunately they only left 21 min late and I was planning on being there 31 min late. It is really not right. They should have been clearer on the original event flyers.
