A new Children’s song for Israel was recently composed for Jewish children, to show their love and affection for their Home Land.
Written and composed by South African born Zalman Levy, a new singer and composer in the Jewish Music world, this song was performed In Bal Harbour, Florida at The Shul’s Child Enrichment Center, as well as at The Shul’s afternoon Hebrew School.
Armed with his guitar, Levy slowly taught the lyrics of the song- to the tune of a Chabad Niggun, to some 60 Montessori and 30 Hebrew School Children who excitedly joined in.
Zalman Levy has recently composed a number of songs, including “Who will say Shema with Moishele”, which he composed in memory of Rabbi Gavriel and Rivky Holtzberg, which received over 7000 views on YouTube.
“There are many Schools…..Chabad Schools in particular, who are looking for an alternative song for Children to show their love and affection for Israel, without any politics behind it.” …says Zalman.
“Music is the language of the heart, and what better way is there, for a child to show his love for Israel, than with song.”

Composed by Zalman Levy
Eretz Yisrael, The Land I love so dear
Deep down in my heart, I think about you.
Since the day that Hashem gave you to Avraham Avinu,
Until this day…..you always will be part of me.
CHORUS
Eretz Yisrael, I won’t forget you
Eretz Yisrael, you’re the Neshama of every Jew
Eretz Yisrael, no matter what they say or do
You’re my home, you’re my home
…..because I am a Jew.

so nice
I’m a music teacher and would love to use your songs (with your permission) in the school I teach, they’re sooo beautifull, simple and powerful, please put up more online and thanks!
where is this montessori school?
zalmy ur a great composer!! u shud get someone big to sing ur songs!!!! hatzlocha rabbah
wow, the song is sad, beautiful and says it all!
its funny how a small guy with a soft plaintive voice playing a couple of strums on a guitar can show such vision in the chabad community
which in my opinion is that yiddishkeit and chassidishkeit should have a very strong bond inherently with experiencing the land of eretz yisroel
or as the rebbe called it artzainu hakdoisha
wow zalmy! So impressive! you have great talent!
