Mrs. Sarah Hecht, mother of Chana Ginsburg of Crown Heights, passed away last Friday, the 19th of Menachem Av in Regba, Israel.
She was 88.
Born to a refined and G-d-fearing family in Romania, she made her way to Eretz Yisroel under challenging circumstances during the war years.
She was among the pioneers of Jewish settlement in the land, starting off with tents under Arab gunfire and building a beautiful community.
She raised her children with Yiddishe values and had Tanyas printed in her home.
She is survived by her children Gad Yechezkel Halevi Hecht and Chana Ginsburg, and was zoche to see grandchildren and great-grandchildren shomrei Torah and mitzvos in the family of Chabad.
Chana Ginsburg will be sitting shiva at 1317 Carroll Street in Crown Heights at the following times:
Thursday: 11:00AM – 11:00PM
Friday: 11:00AM – 5:00PM
Motzaei Shabbos: 9:30PM – midnight
Baruch Dayan Haemes.
Tzvi was her husband. Not from Crown Heights…
Thank Mrs. Hecht for your work in our Holy land and for the incredible daughter you provided for us. Even after the delays ( and unexpected layover in France) when all flights to see you were cancelled, Mrs. Chana Ginsburgh was able to be with you this past week! The strength and determination is carried on.
Who is her husband?
