Mrs. Esther Freundlich, wife of Reb Moshe Freundlich obm and resident of Stamford Hill, London, passed away on Tuesday, 4 Teves, 5782.
She was 73.
Esther grew up in Denmark and was part of a very prominent Yekishe family before marrying Reb Moshe Freundlich when she settled in London and was part of the Lubavitch community in Stamford Hill for close on 50 years.
She raised a beautiful family of children and grandchildren in the classic Jewish spirit. She was a tremendous Baalas Chesed, with an open home as well as being very passionate about maintaining the highest standard of Tznius, influencing friends and family alike.
As a young girl living in Denmark, even before she became Lubavitch, she was in contact with the Rebbe who consoled her when her father passed away.
She is survived by her children: Chaim Freundlich – London, Daniel Freundlich – Crown Heights, Rus Brocho – London and Binyomin Mordechai Freundlich – Crown Heights.
She was predeceased by her son, Shloime (Bundy) Freundlich OBM.
A fund has been set up to assist the family with burial expenses. Please click here to donate now.

She had a heart full of gold she will be missed by our community in Stamford Hill. BDE
Esther was a true example of what a bas Melech is, she was refined and regal and was so sweet with such a big heart. She will be very missed. May Hashem send comfort to her family and all who knew her and may we see her again with the coming of moshiach right now!
I was a guest in their home. I will never forget how comfortable and at home I felt.
