R’ Eliyahu (Ilya) HaKohen Ilyayev, a father and grandfather from Crown Heights, passed away on Sunday, 10th of Iyar, 5780.
He was 73.
Mr. Ilyayev had been battling with an illness for the past few years.
He was especially known for his tremendous sense of humor, passion for life, determination and courageous desire to never give up.
He is survived by his children, Dr. Shalom Ilyayev (Kensington), Chiya Ilyayev (Crown Heights), and Dr. Rafael Ilyayev (Crown Heights), and grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sisters, Berta Mosheyev (Israel) and Marina Ilyayich (Israel).
He was predeceased by his older brother Boris Ilyayev in 2017.

Dr Raphel Iilyavev is my Aunts Doctor.(440 Brooklyn Ave) he is the kindest gentle Doctor and he TRULY TRULY cares and is soo compassionate to his patients….even in middle of the night…even while his father was soooo sick He CARED!! When I lived in crown heights, Dr R Ilyayev was my doctor. He could be contacted so easily and readily and was always upbeat and took the time to help. So sad for him that he lost his father! May him and his family be comforted!
