Moishy Holtzberg, the child who survived the bloody terror attack on Chabad of Mumbai, is returning there for the first time since the events in 2008.
Holtzberg was a toddler when Islamic terrorists stormed the Chabad House located in the Nariman House and murdered 5 Jews, including his Shluchim parents – Rabbi Gabi and Rivky Holtzberg HY”D.
In those dark moments, TV cameras showed a woman escaping the building holding a child. It was Sandra Samuels, the family’s Indian nanny, and little Moishy.
The two moved to Israel and lived with the boy’s grandparents Rabbi Shimon and Yehudit Rosenberg in the northern city of Afula.
When India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Israel this past summer, he met with Holtzberg and warmly embraced him. “I love you,” the child told him in English.
At that encounter, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he is inviting the 12-year-old boy to join him during his state visit to India.
On Motzoei Shabbos, Netanyahu and his entourage flew to India. Netanyahu and the Holtzberg family will be attending a ceremony at Chabad of Mumbai, run today by Rabbi Israel and Chaya Kozlovsky.
“Baby Moshe Takes PM Modi Up On His Invite,” India’s NDTV has reported. Israel’s envoy to India Daniel Carmon said there could be “other elements of participation of Moshe who has gone through a terrible tragedy and his coming here.”

in this case it’s a good thing 2 year olds retain little memory of their past.
He was old enough to have many memories and associations… this trip is brave but can be so difficult
