Dozens of Lubavitch Bochurim took to the streets of Manhattan Sunday at the Israel Day Parade to spread Jewish awareness among participants.
The efforts were coordinated by Chabad of the Upper East Side and the Mitzvah Tank Organization directed by Rabbi Mordy Hirsch, under the auspices of Lubavitch Youth Organization.
2,573 people put on Tefillin, 762 people purchased a letter in a Sefer Torah, 5,750 holiday guides and 750 Shabbos candles were distributed, and 450 people signed up for JNet, the bochurim reported.
