Miriam Shmueli, a young woman from Crown Heights, passed away on Shabbos, 8 Iyar, 5780.
She passed away after battling an autoimmune disease for the past few months.
Miriam was a ba’alas chesed, who quietly helped many mothers before, during and after giving birth as a Hypnobirthing specialist or doula.
In the past she was a teacher in Bais Chaya Mushka and Bais Rivkah.
She initiated many children’s programs, including a unique girls davening program located in 770 to help guide them in their davening by teaching them Biur Tefila and how to follow along with a minyan. The success of this program encouraged schools to follow suit.
She exemplified “A Chossid Macht A Seviva” – A chosid creates a positive surrounding.
With her knowledge of Torah and Chassidus, she constantly shared insights to all those she met, impacting them with a desire for Torah and Mitzvos.
She was able to bring out in others their natural Emunas Hashem.
She was a living example of a true emissary of the Rebbe.
She is survived by her parents, R’ Ephraim Zev And Raizel Shmueli of Crown Heights, and siblings.
The Levaya will take place today, 9 Iyar.
The Aron will pass by 770 at 1:30 PM
Special request from the Chevrah Kadisha:
Due to the current situation, we have to bring to the attention of the public שי’ the current guidelines that must be adhered to.
Please maintain social distance and stand at least 6 feet apart at all times as the world is watching, if pictures are made, we would like it to be a Kiddush Hashem and a zechus for the niftar.

The women’s shul in 770 will have a big empty space . Miriam was a beacon of light , emunah and Tahor in every way . In her thought speech and dress . She exemplify a true tznius Chabad girl . Honor her memory by throwing out one tight or borderline garment . Miriam I have tears in my eyes . We will miss you . Beg the rebbe to ask hashem for Moshiach !!!
She was a very special girl from a very special family!
I thought it was just me…
I began going to 770 on Shabbos for Mincha, but wasn’t sure what to say, and when. Miriam would patiently show me what they’re up to without making me even a little self conscious. You could see the pride on her face as her brother read from the Torah.
You may think she was helping you, but I’m sure Miriam viewed it as you were helping her. She had an incredible way of always seeing how others in that way. She’d do a favor and then thank you for allowing her to do it. She was such a special person.

She was an example of eidelkeit, chessed, and extremely smart and always happy to share her knowledge with others. May her family be comforted at this time.

Miriam was a special and beautiful neshama! Full of good characteristics – chassidish, aidel and a doer.
Whenever we met she will genuinely show interest in how everyone was doing. She always made the other person feel special and never took any credit for all the amazing things she was doing.
She will be missed very much!

My heart is breaking for her family! Miriam we will miss you!!! The world will not be the same.
Baruch Dayan Haemes. I am so deeply pained by this news, this is too much. She worked for us in camp some time back, and was such an aidel Chassideshe girls, so full of chesed and consideration for others. May Hashem comfort her family. Moshiach Now
I have no words. Moshiach Now. This is beyond understanding….
A name is a nevuah ketana,in this case an open Nevuah ,because she too brought Yiddishe kinder into this world with love and unbeleivable devotion.
May the other part of the Nevuah come true speedily. So that very soon she will rejoin all of us when we dance to the Geula Shlaimah. Make it hapoen now! Soon is not fast enough!
I think we are all shocked and broken by this news.
Besides for being a Doula, I believe Miriam was also a mashgicha for fertility treatment. Those children born from her assistance, owe her a yashar koach. Following the tragic passing of her sisters, she was always into life – both physically and spiritually.
What we can do, is increase our efforts to have more children physically, as well as spiritual children, by increasing in Torah and Mitzvos.
Let’s hope that all these tragedies are only a sign that Moshiach is coming very very soon.
See the Hayom Yom 8 Iyar – the day she passed on that describes who she was, as well as the sefira gevurah shebenetzach!
