Israel’s Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked visited the Rebbe’s Ohel in Queens, New York, and recited a special prayer for the victims of the Shabbos massacre in Pittsburgh.
Shaked was accompanied by Rabbi Menachem Brod, a Chabad Shliach in Shikun Dan in Tel Aviv, where she lives.
The minister was welcomed by Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch and Rabbi Sholom Duchman, Director of Colel Chabad, and Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky of Merkos Suite 302.
Shaked expressed her support for the American Jewish community as they mourn the 11 people who were murdered in an anti-Semitic shooting attack on Shabbos morning at a congregation in Pittsburgh.
The minister said she thanks the Chabad-Lubavitch movement for their activities “for the Jewish nation” in the USA and around the world.
