Baltimore Jewish Life
In a first-time appearance in Baltimore, Dr. Gill Heart from Atlanta presented “The Mind In Control”, a presentation offering individuals the opportunity to learn more about self control and new and innovative methods for stress management. The event was held to a full house at the Pikesville Hilton on Sunday night. Proceeds from the evening are being used to benefit the building campaign for the Aleph Jewish Learning Institute for Adults.
There was great energy throughout the evening as Dr. Heart, who served six-years in an elite, Special Forces unit in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) exhibited wonderful skills to help the audience envision scenarios of high tension moments through his missions in the IDF and in other scenarios.
There were interactive experiments with the audience allowing participants to experience real tension followed by the advantages of stress management through Mind In Control.
Dr. Heart seamlessly applied his last ten-years of studying Torah and Kabbalah into his extremely unique presentation. Aspects of those teachings along with Chassidic Philosophy were explained as the source of mindful behavior to maintain equilibrium even in an ordinary day.
All in all the audience, with all the work-outs, were very satisfied and upbeat with their newly learned skills and are ready to take on a new twist for living better. Some are asking about a full-day follow-up workshop which would be offered to the public provided there is adequate interest.
you can get more info in the Tanya! It’s called Moiach Sholet al Halev! although the workshop sounds great 🙂
