Close to 50 Chabad Shluchim from the U.S. Mid-Atlantic area – comprising of New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington and Delaware – gathered Wednesday for a regional Kinus at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Virgina.
In the course of the one-day Kinus, there were workshops and classes on a variety of issues such as partnerships in shlichus – the husband and wife team, challenges in shlichus, preparing for the high holidays, fundraising, communication, tips for managing a shul, chinuch for children of shluchim, and chayus in learning and shariing the Rebbe’s teachings.
Presenters included Rabbi Manis Friedman, Rabbi Leibel Fajnland, Rabbi Levi Deitsch, Rabbi Sholom Deitsch, Rabbi Yehuda Shemtov, Rabbi Shraga Sherman, Rabbi Heshy Epstein, Rabbi Dovid Eliezerie, Rabbi Sholom Raichik, Rabbi Yosef Engel, Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky and others.
Towards evening, after Mincha and a group photo, the shluchim participated in a festive dinner with the annual JLI Retreat, together with hundreds of guests and mekuravim.
The Kinus ended off with a Chassidishe farbrengen featuring Rabbi Manis Friedman and Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky.
It lasted until the wee hours of the morning. The shluchim returned to their homes with inspiration and an extra chayus as they prepare for the upcoming month of yomim tovim.

there was healthy stuff,it just they need to plan to eat at the right time,durning the day,instead of late meals,a litte ex would help
With several of the shluchim struggling to button their jackets, perhaps cookies and cakes were not the best choice of refreshements. Let’s stick with carrot and celery sticks in the future.

I didn’t see in the pictures Shmuel Dovid Rapoport who’s the shliach in Margate, NJ. He’s a very good friend of mine for the past 35 years.
